Hey everyone! Arland here! I just thought i'd let you guys know that I got kicked outta the house the other day!!! Hah! jk. I actually left. They all miss me now i'm sure. Probably wishing I was back at home right now. They're most likely regretting the fact that they let me leave. Or not.
So I made a decition a while back to spread my wings and fly into a world of.. . . . . (dramatic pause) buying my own groceries, paying my own bills, and not having mom and dad there to remind me of stuff! To most of you this is just everyday independance, but to me it's a new adventure and a learning experience. So, to make things official, I decided to get a couple of roomates, an place, and a job. Our place is on 83 ave here in e-town, and we get possesion of it on Sept 1st. I havn't been there yet. For a job i got onto a base crew for Standard General construction in St. Albert and will be busy taking their money for about two months. I had my first day today and really enjoyed it! Annyways! I hope everything is going well with all of you! And I shall talk to you later!

Family Directory
Hello all,
Cass and I have been very busy getting ready for our little guy and my health. I have been making many trips to the hospital for tests and appointment. We are almost 36 week and waiting to see if I am induced for high blood pressure and an "old placenta." 36 weeks is when the hospital we want to deliver at will induce so I have been trying to take it easy. The little man looks good, it's just me that's having a hard time, but I am ok with that.
Since I can't do much I have started working on the directory we had discussed at the reunion. I don't want our private info on the blog since it is not private, although birthdays and anniversaries will be put on. So if all those who didn't write their info down at the reunion can e-mail me the info for everyone in their home, as well as those older children you don't think will check the blog. Please include full names, birthdays, anniversaries, street address, e-mail address and phone numbers (we think cell numbers would be good as well.) If you did write it down at the reunion I will e-mail you that I need more or you are good.
My e-mail is jwildes18@hotmail.com and thanks for the help. I will try to be like Jenny and bug you all, but not too much. When I am done I will e-mail everyone a copy and from there you can print or keep on your computer, whichever is easier for you.
Thanks again,
Jeanine

Bird Girl's Surgery
Hello all,
I think I will be doing the writing and updating for a bit, I am your new host of a little game I like to call How is Jacey doing? Well not so much a game but she is definitely testing the limit of how long she can go without sleeping...Well as most of you know Jacey had surgery this week to correct her eyes and hips. Yes 2 in 1 surgery, we talked to the surgeons and they said that the surgery went very well. And as of noon yesterday Jacey has been in a room at the Stollery Hospital recovering from those surgeries. She is doing really well and still is finding time to play drop the soother and drop anything that is in front of me onto the floor game. A favorite of mommy and daddy....nope just kidding not fun at all. She is doing really well though, the only thing is she is having a hard time sleeping. That is why Mommy and Daddy are resting now and have time to update the blog. Her biggest problem is her lack of movement she has a big cast on her legs and they are separated by a broomstick here I included a picture of this as it is pretty cool and she definitely got some wild colours haha. I will update you as things progress but as of now she is doing well and is in good spirits.
Also in a final note today is Jacey Bird's birthday Happy 2nd Birthday to a sweet special girl and even though it is no fun to have a birthday in the hospital I think straight eyes and straight legs are a not bad present...well maybe some toys would be better but we are unconventional parents like that haha.
Take Care,
Jon, Alyson and a recovering Jacey

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers, especially for the big family prayer the night before the surgery. We thank you and love you all for this. This helped us a lot during a difficult time for our family. Also, thanks for all who have made suppers and who have helped out at the hospital again this has helped us tremendously.

Hello from Aaron & Chelsey!
Hi Everyone!
We had a wonderful time at the reunion. It was so great seeing everyone, especially family we haven't seen in years. It was crazy to see how much people have changed. Brooke had a blast playing with the kids and we had soooo much fun playing kick the can. It was definetly a weekend we will remember. Kudo's to Jenny and everyone else that planned the event - fantastic job. We can't wait for the next one.
Here are some photo's and videos to share since Dad (Brent) won't stop nagging Chelsey to do it. Enjoy.
P.S. Sorry for taking up so much space - we couldn't get the pictures to go side by side.

Family Prayer Proposal - Jacey's Surgery
You are probably all aware that our precious little Jacey will be having surgery on her hips and eyes on Friday, August 20th.
We are proposing that we have a FAMILY PRAYER Thursday evening, August 19th at 9:00 PM.
Please, let us all kneel and pray together, wherever we are, for Jacey, her Mom & Dad, the doctors and all medical people who will be working with her. There is great power in prayer and even a greater power in a united prayer. If you are working - not to worry - you can still have a prayer in your heart. Heavenly Father knows your feelings and intentions.
Our family has just finished a wonderful weekend of bonding. Now we can all bond together unitedly in mighty prayer. We have great strength as a family.
Thank you all for being you. Oh how we love you all.

Missed a Special Anniversary
I just turned my calendar to August today and, guess what -- we missed Stan & Sylvia's 35th anniversary on Monday, August 2nd. Not too smart of me! We could have all celebrated together by having a toasted marshmallow or something exciting like that.
Happy belated 35th Stan & Sylvia. It is a milestone! We wish you many years of happiness.
Love,
Adina & Al

Wish I was there
Thanks for the pics everybody. I hope there will be more pics soon. Roxanne got some good ones also. I'll let her post them.
I heard it was the best and it looks like alot of fun had by all. When we plan the next one if a date is chosen before november the year before, I'll be able to book vacation to ensure I will be there. (yes, Jenny I will volunteer if needed. and thanks for the call, you are very thoughtful).
If someone has videos, please post them. Roxanne tells me the sumo wresting between Garth vs Troy was good as well as Brandon vs Aaron. How about a video of the baseball? Anyhow thanks for the posts, Don't just put them on facebook, get them on here also. (I don't go on facebook).

FAMILY REUNION - THANK YOU
Yup! I'm the first!!
Thank you, Thank you for the wonderful reunion. We are tired, but oh so happy. Grampa is delighted with his book. He is sitting right now and reading it.
He says "Thank you for this special book. It is such a treasure. Thank you for the wonderful thoughts. Everything in the book is so flattering. I don't remember doing a lot of those things, and certainly didn't know I was creating memories. All I know is that I love my children and all the grandkids very much. This, of course, includes all the spouses and greats. I love the book, it means a lot to me. I just hope and pray that you won't forget the 'teachings' you all feel that you have gleaned from the experiences we've shared." -- Love, Grampa
It is always fun to see everyone enjoying each other. We thought the baseball was such a great way to get EVERYONE - all ages - to interact. We loved seeing how everyone helped everyone else and cheered each person on. Thank you for being so kind to each other.
The food was outstanding. Thanks to everyone.
Also, a special thanks to Sylvia for the cousin pillow cases, face painting, beads etc. etc. Sylvia an ideas person who has a great knack for putting things together. We are so glad you are a 'hudkins'.
Most of all - thank you to Jenny and her committee for the hours and hours of organization and running and preparing and ...and...and, I just hope you are not out any cash. We don't want that to happen. A job well done. We all appreciate it very very much.
Love you all much. Thanks for choosing to come to our family!
Love always,
Gramma
