Day of creativity!

Yesterday I had gone to micheals and bought two photo albums to use. They were both the same and very plain. I wanted to put something on them to spice them up. This is how the one turned out. Thought I would share!

Actually I only have a Dan Wesson .357 mag. and a Herbert Schmidt .22 cal. But my Buddy brought a .44 mag., a 9mm, a .45 and a .357 mag. 4 revolversand 2 Pistols total. That .44 mag has quite a kick as you can tell by the look on my face. (even though I was expecting it).

KICK THE CAN - Bunny Style

The blog is so quiet, I thought I'd tell you of our very exciting days of condo style retirement.  It doesn't take much to amuse us old  guys!

We have been watching rabbits in our backyard.  Last evening was the funnest.  Just before dark two were sparring just outside our den window.  It reminded me of our three sons who said "We're just play-fighting Mom."  When they sensed movement inside the window they both stopped dead still for a good ten minutes.  It was funny to watch.

Later on when it was dark there were at least four horsing around outside the spare bedroom window.  I couldn't see them in the dark but Grampa could.  I could hear them though.  It sounded just like when you kids play Kick-The-Can at our family reunions.  I don't know if some of their little guys were playing with them, or just the bigger fellas.  Anyway, it was kind of fun.

See - I told you it doesn't take much to amuse us!

Love to all,
Gramma

Happy Birthday   DAD,   GRANDPA,   GREAT GRANDPA

We all Love you very much and wish you a very happy day.

I think I can speak for all of us when I tell you that you have been a great influence and example in our lives, from your own children and their spouses, to the grandchildren, and I know that the great grandchildren will also have a special place in their heart for you. I know that we all have wonderful memories of the family times spent together. The B-B-Q's, bus rides, and special times spent with you. We all look forward to many more great memories being created in the years to come. Thank you for all the guidance and support you have given each one of us through our lives.

Happy Birthday, we love you.

P.S. I hope all the males in our clan will grow up to be as wonderful as you have been.

TBA II's Nursery...old but made new!

So family I think you know that I'm a fan of decorating so thought I would post a shout out to a piece you may all recognize.  The black lamp by the rocking chair is actually Grandma and Grandpa's old bronze lamp.  We spray painted it black and bought a new shade...oooohhhh aaaahhhh a totally new look right?

The Polischuk's are doing good, we are down to 14 days until D-day!!  Very excited, seriously looking forward to meeting this little woman and not having to pee every 10 min.  The frequent washroom visits are a very small sacrifice though for such a grand reward!!!

Mom's

To all the Moms and Moms to be, today we honour you for all the wonderful blessings you bring to our homes. You truly are the glue that binds our homes together. Your unconditional love, your concern and your strength are much appreciated and probably not always recognized. I loved the following thoughts that were given by the Brethren;

Perhaps the reason we respond so universally to our mothers’ love is because it typifies the love of our Savior. As President Joseph F. Smith said, “The love of a true mother comes nearer [to] being like the love of God than any other kind of love”

As in all things, the Savior set the perfect example in the love He showed for His earthly mother. In the final, most pivotal moment of His mortal life—after the anguish of Gethsemane, the mock trial, the crown of thorns, the heavy cross to which He was brutally nailed—Jesus looked down from the cross and saw His mother, Mary, who had come to be with her Son. His final act of love before He died was to ensure that His mother would be cared for, saying to His disciple, “Behold thy mother!” And from that point on the disciple took her unto his home. As the scriptures say, then Jesus knew that “all things were now accomplished,” and He bowed His head and died (see John 19:27–28, 30).

With that thought we wish all mothers a very special day today and everyday! We honour each of you and strive to understand our stewardship to you, our wives and families.
