Wedding help...

Hello family! Heather here. I am in great need of everyone's help. Patrick and I are preparing to send out invitations for the wedding, very soon. We need addresses to send them though. Our email is hudkins96@comcast.net if you would send your information we would really appreciate it. I promise I will have them sent by the end of this month, so now you know when to expect them:) Also if you are planning to be here, please don't hesitate to ask for our help finding a hotel, or other things you may need while here. After all, we will soon be family, and that's what family is for:) We would like to spend time with everyone in the days before the wedding too, I don't think I have had the privilege of meeting the whole family yet, so please also let us know when you plan on arriving, so we can keep time open for some family fun. Thanks everybody, and take care:) ~Patrick & Heather

Sunday Conference

Are you ready for what Grampa calls "The Sermon"?

Here are a few things I gleaned from conference today:
* Be of one heart and one mind in your marriage and in your family
* The Lord will shape the back to place the burden (interesting)
* Prepare for change - we need to get on with our lives
* The next time you're tempted to growl - laugh instead
* Help those in need
* None of us make it through life without troubles and tragedies
* Be of good cheer "I the Lord am with you."
* The future is as bright as your faith
* You can't be a lifesaver if you look like all the other swimmers on the beach
* Do a virtual tour of your home. What do you see? How do you feel? There is a righteous unity between the temple and the home.
* Attend the temple often
* Choices have consequences attached
* God wants us to succeed
* Parents express your love to your children
* Children express your love to your parents
* Nourish your testimonies

We love watching conference from the comforts of our home. What a great blessing modern technology is - but I had to go for a quick walk afterwards to get the kinks out.

I hope you don't mind my long-winded sharing. I so desperately want all of my family to know the great blessings that are in store for each and every one. We love you all so very much.

Thanks, Troy, for your input.

Love to everyone always,
Gramma & Grampa

Dieter Uchtdorf

I liked the part in his talk when he said "Our faith is not a sprint, but an endurance race."

That statement is so true, as we continue to keep our faith we have the spirit with us at all times and guiding us through our lives, helping us make the decisions in our life that make us better people, but as we waiver in our faith we have the struggles that make life difficult for us.

I hope that all who enjoyed conference this weekend take something from it to help them in their own lives.

Love Troy

SATURDAY CONFERENCE

Here are some things I gleaned from today's conference sessions.
* For both debt and addictions, talk to the Lord
* Be obedient to the promptings of the Holy Ghost
* Live within your means - spend less than you earn
* Learn to say "Can we afford it, or can we afford it but don't really need it?
* Establish a family budget

* Be acquainted with the voice of the Holy Ghost. Pay attention to thoughts & feelings.
* In times of distress let your covenants be paramount.
* Succor each other
* Be willing to listen and learn from counsel of those who have gone before you
* Learning lessons from the past helps you to walk boldly
* Remember the past so you don't repeat it
* When we desire more faith we must be more obedient
* Personal righteousness is a choice
* If we really care for others we should pray for them
* We should pray "Thy will be done"

I have lots more, but the above is a pretty good sermon for now.

Speaking of succoring others. I would very much appreciate all your prayers. My left eye - the one with macular degeneration is really acting up today. For a few minutes, I thought I would lose the sight in it. I had Grampa immediately give me a blessing. I have an appointment early Monday AM with the retinal specialist. Hopefully they will do their magic that will stop the progression of the degeneration. Apparently they can do something that cautorizes the blood vessels. I'm not sure how they do it, but I can tell that it is not a bit too soon.
What they do doesn't improve the vision, but should keep it from getting worse.

Thanks for your help,

Gramma

Hello all! Thought we would do a little update! Things are going well for us, so happy spring is finally showing up! Kids are doing super well I can finally say Austin is now a "big boy" and does not need diapers anymore !! Soo proud of him, and scary thought he will start preschool in september and as for keisha grade one! How time just goes by so fast! Jordan is doing good as well working hard or well hardly working isn't it?! Haha jk. He just got his new "lover" a yamaha r1 2004, I can already say I'm jealous of "her" haha. As for me as old same old, just trying to heal from a ripped lung I got when I got really sick! Was scary there but I'm healing. But besides that just doing the crazy bride thing, since we have about three months to go! Its going to be here in no time! I think I will start to have my freak out after brandon and brabs wedding has passed! I can't wait till there's and wow there's is right around the corner! So exciting!! I hope everyone is doing well, and congrats to the new parents to be! Children are such a blessing!
