We're Back!

This is the first I've looked at the blog in quite a while. I've enjoyed all the wedding pictures - Brandon & Barb and Jordan & Kristina. They are both great and thanks for sharing. Now I'm waiting to see some from Pat & Heather's wedding. I'm all weddinged out, but I loved each one. You each had such great ideas and put yourselves and your own personalities into them. Good job!

We enjoyed our trip south. Thanks to Brent for our transportation, we had a nice drive and good company. It was great to see our American family. We miss you guys so very much. On the way home we stopped in to see baby Camilla and Aaron & Chelsea's house. Both are perfect.

This Sunday we'll be going to Red Deer to Camilla's blessing. We're looking forward to that -- and some more pictures from Addie & Mike.

Love to all,
Gramma & Grampa

Babies and mommas!

Alyson calls us 'the originals'!

An updated Hinko Family Picture

A cute pic of Keisha & Austin...seriously little Prince and Princess!!

For Mom's 50th Bday we took her on the Edmonton Queen Riverboat for a dinner and a ride! So fun!!!

This past weekend was fabulous as we all gathered in Fort Mac to help Jordan and Kristina celebrate their wedding. It was beautiful!!!! They put alot of work into making it a stunning event, Kiesha and Austin were adorable...just like a little prince and princess.

We are pumped up for the next wedding; Pat and Heather here we come! Almost all of the Hinko's will be heading down, sadly only Les's Mike has to work. Totally looking forward to seeing the Yankee family this week. Amelia's birth certificate came a few weeks ago so we can cross the border with her, wohoo!!!
Love the Hinko Family

Update

We just returned from Jordan & Kristina's wedding which was very nicely done. They had some innovative ideas that I hope they'll tell you about and post pictures. We wish them much joy and happiness. Keisha & Austin looked adorable walking down the isle. Alyson got a picture of them. I'm sure she'll post. All the little ones were really really good. I was proud of them.

We left McMurray about 11:00 today. It rained so hard that we stopped at one of the towers for a while, but it didn't let up so we carried on quite slowly. It rained all the way to Sherwood Park. Apparently there was a severe storm in Edmonton last evening. Trees down, power out and some buildings damaged. Our area looks just fine, but it was pretty bad, judging by the pictures on the news. Garth will probably know more because he was working his booth at the exhibition. I'm anxious to talk to him when he gets home tonite.

Grampa is now #22 on the waiting list for his cornea transplantation. It's getting closer!!

We look forward to Pat & Heather's wedding -- Less than a week now!!

Love to all,

It's a girl!!

We just wanted to let you all know that we had a little girl. She was born on Saturday at 10:06am and was 7lbs 2oz. We are so excited that she is finally here! Mike absolutely adores her...I have a feeling she's going to be a daddy's girl. Here are a few pictures! Enjoy!
Love you all,
Addie&Mike

2 hours old

One day old! She's pretty smiley!

....BABY???

Just wondering if there is any Stannix news yet. I thought for sure after that stern talking to a couple of weeks ago the little one would have gotten things together for the trip. Must be taking last minute instructions for the journey of life.

Keep us updated, we are patiently awaiting news of family additions.

We must all remember to protect ourselves with the Body Armor of God.

Love you all.

Trip to D.C.

Hello family I'm not good at getting on here, but I was told I had to put pictures up from my trip to Maryland and our visit to Washington, DC while I was there. So here they are!! =]]
above: the Lincoln Memorial with part of the reflection pool.
below: is (you may have already guessed) Lincoln.

above: the Washington Monument with the reflection pool
it's a distance shot but that reflection pool is really really long!

below: I tried to get close and piece it together attempting to get the full effect
it semi-worked, but it's also very tall!

3 above: I don't remember what it's called, but basically there's an icon thing for each of the 50 states, there is a lot as you can see in the first of the three. It was hard to get a full view of that one.

below: My friend and I both weren't sure what this was, but it's a type of memorial.
If you open it big I'm in there! =]]

above: The birds were coming right up beside you. (mostly because people feed them!)

below: The Metro! Now that was an interesting experience!!
In the picture that was only the people waiting to get on, the Metro itself was packed. We almost witnessed a fight between people trying to get on. KJ and I waited for the next one. It comes about every 7-10 mins. We didn't mind the wait!! hah

2 above: The Capital Building. It has housed the meeting chambers of the House of Representatives and the Senate for two centuries. It's pretty cool. There were a ton of guards. It's so hot there they even had their own patio umbrellas at each station!

2 below: The most important/ recognizable is the White House!
From where we were standing we only get to see the side, and we really weren't that close as you can tell in the 2nd picture with me.

Last above the air plane ride, it really wasn't that exciting, but I thought this was actually a pretty cool picture of the clouds!

Anyways I really enjoyed my trip, there are many more pictures but these are the most interesting! Hope you enjoyed the pictures!!

Amelia's Blessing!

So it was a very special weekend! It was wonderful to spend so much time with family. We had mom's 50th Birthday celebration on Friday night - this was a fabulous buffet dinner and ride on the Queen River Boat (Alyson will post pics). Saturday night was a shindig at my Grandma's farm to celebrate Mikel, Leslie anAlign Centerd Mike's Birthday, cousin Chris came out too so he shared in the cake as his Bday was is June also. Then Amelia was blessed on Sunday. She wore the same dress as her cousin Jacey, it is made from my mom's wedding dress and extra material from my wedding dress....how cool is that! It was a wonderful!!!! Much of our family was able to come, it was just so great to have our little lady recieve this special blessing from her dad.
Here are a few snapshots from this week. Enjoy!

Love ya ~Jenny
